When the American Quilter’s Society, the largest quilting membership organization in the world, debuted AQS QuiltWeek in Syracuse from July 29 to August 1, the announcement – and then the show – were covered by almost every local news media outlet.
15,000 in attendance converged on the Syracuse area to enjoy four days of the best in international quilt and textile artistry, bringing over $1 million to Syracuse. QuiltWeek hosts a series of workshops and special events with some of the top talent in the quilt industry, with more than 500 quilts on display and over $50,000 in prizes awarded.
