Marriott Syracuse Downtown is where Syracuse celebrates the holidays. The former Hotel Syracuse has planned another year of events and activities that provide just the right mix of family, friends, food, and fun to usher in the holiday season.
“We are going all out for the holiday season,” said Chuck Anthony, director of marketing for the property. “From family and friends gathering to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together, to the faces on the children as they meet Santa Claus, and of course ringing in the new year with our legendary New Year’s Eve party; it’s really amazing to be such a big part of the community’s holiday scene.”
- Events kick off on Thanksgiving Day with a traditional Thanksgiving meal hosted at Eleven Waters.
- On November 29 Marriott Syracuse Downtown hosts the area’s best “Tree Lighting Celebration” from 4-7 pm, featuring refreshments, holiday entertainment and photos with Santa before the tree lighting in Clinton Square. This is a free event for the community.
- This year, the hotel once again offers two dates for Breakfast with Santa in partnership with the Everson Museum on December 8, and December 15.
- The annual New Year’s Eve Party welcomes 2020 with the biggest bands in CNY including: Hard Promises, Country Swagg, Primetime, Just Joe, and The Stan Colella Orchestra, casino games and delicious food and 5-hour open bar. This year’s theme is “The Golden Age of Hollywood”. Guests are encouraged to dress in the style of stars of Hollywood past. Inspiration can be found on the Marriott’s Instagram and Facebook pages featuring a look back at classic Hollywood glamour. This is the fourth annual New Year’s Eve celebration since the hotel’s re-opening.
Registration and costs vary by event. Tickets can be purchased online. More information about all the holiday festivities can be found by calling the hotel at (315) 474-2424 or visiting facebook.com/MarriottSyracuse
