Kelly Gaggin, Consultant with Strategic Communications, recently completed the Communications Management Master’s program at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, earning her Master of Science in Communications Management. Now in its 20th year, this fully accredited program includes courses from the Newhouse School (which confers the degree) as well as the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
The highly-praised thesis for Gaggin’s Master’s degree study was: “Great Expectations: Identifying Linkages between External Communications and the Propensity for Advocacy in K-12 School Districts” (Advisor: Dr. Terence T. Flynn, APR, FCPRS).
Upon successfully defending her thesis, Gaggin immediately applied for – and was one of only five accepted to – the Mass Communications Doctoral program at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
Gaggin’s anticipated research focus for the doctoral program is: “Public relations within underserved, immigrant and refugee populations.”
An adjunct professor at both Syracuse University and SUNY Oswego, Gaggin specializes in strategic communications planning and execution for many of Strategic Communications’ clients.
