Today is Strategic Communications’ birthday! We were founded 20 years ago on January 4, 2004.

Two decades ago, our founder Michael Meath had a vision for an agency that would provide trusted counsel on proactive public relations efforts and reputation risk management. Grounded in the principles of strategy, integrity, and communication, Strategic Communications has been serving clients ever since by combining the power of storytelling with business-driven strategies to achieve our clients’ goals.

We started a new chapter ten years later, when Crystal DeStefano became owner and president in 2014. Leveraging her expertise in maximizing the power of the news media and her sharp business acumen, she grew the company to serve a broad range of clients in Central New York and throughout the U.S., including in the financial services, energy, education, engineering, real estate development, and healthcare.

From crafting messages that resonate with diverse audiences to training spokespersons for impactful media interviews, Strategic Communications’ focus has always been on delivering consistent, high-quality PR services. Our approach is holistic, blending traditional PR with innovative social media strategies. By integrating proactive media relations and organic social media content creation, we create cohesive brand narratives across multiple platforms, reaching audiences wherever they are.
