The Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Leadership Assembly voted today to elect Samantha Villegas, APR, as the new Director of PRSA’s Mid-Atlantic District. In the election, Samantha’s years of experience and expertise with both this specific organization and in public relations in general led to her earn a strong majority vote from representatives across the membership of more than 20,000 public relations professionals.

The Public Relations Society of America’s Mid-Atlantic District is one of 10 PRSA Districts and includes nine Chapters in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, eastern/central Pennsylvania and Virginia. In this new role, Samantha will represent all chapters in the District as a liaison with PRSA National, being available to chapters and members to provide consultation and support; serve on national committees and initiatives, and as a co-chair for the District’s annual “Quick Start” leadership development program; and serve as the Leadership Assembly District representative.
